Koboko: Launch of a new three-year project funded by European Union

On 28th February, in Koboko we launched the project “Technical assistance to Koboko Municipality to implement ‘CRRF: Inclusive Urban Development and Mobility’ Action in Koboko, Uganda” funded by European Union – EUTF for Africa.

At the kick-off meeting were present: Hon. Evelyn Anite, Ministry of State for Investment and Privatization, the District Chairman, the Mayor of the Municipality, the District Police Commander and other authorities and stakeholders.

The 36-month project aims to increase safety and well-being of refugees and host communities in Koboko Municipality and reduce inequalities between these groups.
More specifically, ACAV will provide technical support to Koboko Municipality to develop and implement inclusive, participatory and sustainable strategies for urban planning and service delivery.


Direct beneficiaries of the project are local authorities of Koboko Municipality as well the local organizations involved in local development and in the field of migration and refugees. The project will be implemented at the benefit of all Koboko population, Ugandan and refugee.
